Bokken Workshop
Weekend workshops with Bokken, the wooden training sword, are held about 3 or 4 times a year. They are taught by Saint Louis Ki Society Head Instructor Mark Rubbert. These classes are open to adults and teens age 13 and up with at least 8th Kyu Aikido rank)

Classes are at the dojo, 6006 Pershing Ave. St. Louis Missouri, 63112. They are usually  on Friday evening, late Saturday afternoon and early Sunday afternoon

These workshops are open to all training levels and will cover the basics of Bokken (wooden sword) and the movements of either number 1 or 2 bokken forms (taigi 25 & 26). The class size is limited to eight students. The training is fairly vigorous at times and each student receives individual attention from the teacher. The classes in this workshop are sequential and each class requires training received in the previous classes. Friday's class is optional for adults with previous Ki Society Bokken training. The Friday class is open to all adult SLKS members even if not enrolled in this workshop.

To register, sign up at the dojo, send e-mail to register@stlki.org, or call (314) 726-5070 (press 4 to leave a message if voice mail answers). These classes always fill up. If you register but cannot attend, please cancel at least 48 hours in advance so that students on the waiting list may attend.

Some practice Bokken are available for students to use free during class. look below for information about upcoming bokken workshops.
