As per earlier discussion at the dojo, there are two martial arts TV series out there on cable. Both operate on the same idea of going to a different country each episode to explore the history and training of whatever discipline is being focused on.
The first is Human Weapon on the History Channel,

http://www.budovideos.com/shop/customer/product.php?productid=21636&cat=418&page=1The Deadly Arts episode on Aikido is going to be aired on Thursday. It will be on the Aikikai side of things, but might be of note. Judging by the service given to other arts on other episodes, i expect it to have a lot of lip service with very little noteworthy footage.
I'm sure that the Human Weapon guys will get around to doing it eventually. They ususally have a competition of some sort at the end of each episode. It could be cool to see them master a taigi, but i'm sure it will probably be a randoori of some sort.
anyway, i enjoy these shows, despite their limitations and pomp.
