The best thing to do is find a teacher to learn from. I'm not really sure what you want help with. The only ki training I know of that I consider legitimate is with Aikido organizations, the Sennin foundation, or schools in Japan associated with Tempu Nakamura. So find an Aikido school.

Or you can train in yoga and/or meditation and get a lot of good out of it, and get similar developments in mind and body. If you can find an yoga school that has a strong emphasis on meditation practices that is great. It seems that not all yoga teachers do much meditation.

Face to face with a teacher is best.

I've been training for over 30 years. I have had classes with and seen demonstrations by the best teachers. None of them have ever mentioned ki balls or shown anything like ki balls. I have had many experiences of ki, but never anything like ki balls. Ki balls are a fantasy that someone made up for stories and graphic novels. I have heard some people claim to make ki balls, but they never will show me, because they can't.

Some of the exercises on the website you put in one of your posts, the ones where you can get a feeling of energy in your hands, between your hands, and then like a ball around you...those are real sensations that you can create. But that does not make a ki ball that can be thrown at someone and have any remote effect. What happens in those exercises is related to ki. Ki is a sense of connection within and around your body and between you and everything else. It is enhanced by relaxation and clear focus (mindfulness). The awareness of our minds go beyond our bodies and can feel other people and the space around us almost as if it is a part of our body. When the brain plays it’s part in this, it’s called mapping by neurologists. Everyone does this, but it can increase with training. We even “map” out other people, and they “map” us.

Still, this is just a part of ki. Meditation and mindful practices such as Aikido and Tai Chi can develop these things and more.

But no ki balls.
