St. Louis Ki Society has set up a notification list to inform students and parents of students of last-minute class cancellations due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
We’re using a system called Remind101. In order to opt-in to receive messages, you can either:
1. follow this link: http://www.remind101.com/join/aikid
and enter your mobile number. If it asks for a class code, it's aikid (that is, the first five letters of "aikido")
2. or text @aikid to (314) 714-4590. The phone number is unique this mailing list.
You should get a message back asking for their name, and then you’re listed as a “subscribers” to the list. Any fees charged by your mobile provider for sending and receiving texts will apply, but there are no other costs. If you’d like more information about the system is available here: https://www.remind101.com/resources
The system keeps your number private – we know you just by the name you’ve provided, and it's not shared with any others on the list. You can opt-out by sending “stop” to (314) 714-4590. This list will be only for short-notice cancellations, such as those due to weather or some other emergency. For information about schedule changes and planned cancellations (such as those for workshops or holidays), please see the newsletter and the “class cancellations” thread on this discussion board. We also try to send out notifications of last-minute cancellations through email or Facebook posts.
If you have questions, please ask at the dojo.
